Capernwray Malaysia, a ministry of Torchbearers International General information about the Bible School
Students from many different nationalities typically attend one or more of the Torchbearer Bible Schools worldwide. This international, inter-denominational environment provides the opportunity for a deeper understanding and appreciation of the worldwide body of Christ. No specific academic qualifications are required for entry, but acceptance for the course is based on the student’s application and the comments of two referees. Students must be 17 years and above at the beginning of the course. All lectures are in English and proficiency of the language is required in understanding and writing. Students are divided into small groups for the purposes of outreach, study, practical work and personal interaction. In this setting, students are encouraged to develop and use their God-given abilities, as well as learn how to live and work effectively within a team setting.
Lecturers The studies are given by Torchbearers International staff and visiting lecturers who are all experienced Bible teachers and Christian workers involved in active service in Bible colleges, seminaries, evangelical churches or missionary societies, and other Christian organisations. Visiting lecturers are in residence for a week or two and are therefore available for conversation and counsel.
Assessment Tests, projects and assignments are given on many of the subjects during the course, and a Bible School Certificate is awarded to students fulfilling course requirements. Students are required to attend and participate in all classes and discussions.
Books Library facilities are available and recommended study books can be purchased in the centre.
